Harriet's Story: A Future Worth Protecting!
Harriet is one of our Sunday school children at church; she lives with her mother and 2 of her siblings. Her mother is a single mother. Harriet is currently enrolled in Baby Class. She likes learning and sharing classwork, playing, and growing alongside her friends at school. Behind her bright smile, however, is a difficult reality. She is being raised by a single mother who struggles daily to provide even the most basic necessities for her family. As the sole provider, Harriet's mother faces overwhelming financial challenges. Meeting school requirements, providing nutritious meals, and ensuring a stable learning environment often seem beyond her reach. Despite these hardships, she remains committed to giving her daughter a chance at a better future. Recognizing Harriet's vulnerability and potential, WESHARE Uganda Child Foundation has adopted her into its Education Support Program. Through this initiative, we are determined to keep Harriet in school and give her the opportunity to thrive. Harriet requires UGX 200,000 per school term to cover essential educational expenses, including school fees, learning materials, and other school-related needs. This modest contribution can make the difference for Harriet to remain in school and not to be left behind. Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, dream, and build a brighter future. Hope for Jamirah!
Once a school drop-out, Her Dream is to Become a Doctor, Bringing Healing to the sick.
Jamirah's story is one of the many life-giving testimonies that we thank God of, and we can have faith that there is hope again. At 13, she finds herself caught between the harsh realities of poverty and a powerful dream of a brighter future. Coming from a humble family where her mother toils every day as a market vendor, Jamirah was forced to drop out of school to help by selling tomatoes and vegetables. Yet, even in the busy bustle of the market, her heart remained in the classroom.
Each evening, while others unwittingly closed their day, Jamirah would sneak a glance at her friends as they walked from school and reviewed their books and copied class notes. In those quiet moments, she imagined a time when she, too, could return to school without interruption. With dreams of becoming a teacher and even harboring a secret wish to one day become a doctor, she clings to the hope that education will lift her family from the cycle of poverty.
Thanks to the life-changing support from WESHARE Uganda, Jamirah now stands at the threshold of a brighter future in secondary level 2. Yet, to keep this hope alive, she urgently needs UGX 300,000 per school term to keep her dream alive.

WESHARE-Faith's story
Once a school Drop-out, lost her father to Heart Failure!
Meet Faith a 13 year old adolescent girl, joined WESHARE in 2021 during the COVID crisis, rescued from the slum areas of Kajjansi line, living with her single mother who is mentally unsound due to alcohol-induced psychosis. During her early childhood, Faith lost her father due to Heart Failure. She spent much of her child hood days in the slums with her single mother who joined a drinking club with a group of women, most of whom are prostitutes and single mothers. She could badly drink and some-times found helpless and picked up naked by the roadside, many times she would flog her daughter, sometimes she could threaten to be-head her with use of abusive language with reports that her own mom had started coarsing her into sexual work for money. Many days Faith slept on an empty stomach where her mom was away in the bar.
During our Charity mission in the slums, we met Faith who was wasted, totally devastated and undergoing all sorts of torture, deeply crying; she had not tasted a meal 2 days, and her mom had spent her past days with overnights of binge drinking in the local bars. She was in deep sorrow for her mom's wasted life and health, and her life was in danger, she had accumulated all sorts of threats; with death and hunger.
Faith and Rachel both lived in the slums and were both in the same class, and had dropped out of school for one year, Faith's uncle who used to support her with part of her school fees had lost his job and was sickly bed-ridden. Faith says she could be left home to wash her mom's cloths filled with vomitus from alcohol and sometimes blood from fights, as her mom used to fight with other women in the bar. Faith could also work with Rachel as a waiter in the bar, serving alcohols and cleaning up the bar to earn a living.
At her age, Faith had done all sorts of this work and she had saved for herself 15000 Ugandan shillings in her coin box and she wished of a day to come, when she would return to school.
With the lovely family of WESHARE-Uganda Child Foundation and Newlife Presbyterian Church, Kajjansi, Faith's life was to our call to rescue her and make a difference. Together with an engagement with the local authorities, we talked to the mom; Faith was adopted into our lovely family of WESHARE. We shared with Faith and her mom the good news of the word of God and the un-ending love of Christ to us, Faith confessed Christ as her Lord and personal savior, and joined our local Church where she has since then grown a new life of love, faith and Hope. Faith was helped to return to school and she completed her primary level of education, currently in her secondary level 4 of education, Faith needs UGX 300,000 Per Term for her school fees to have a bright future.
With the women empowerment Program in the slums, her mom was helped to develop a positive mindset and engage in other productive businesses. Today she is progressively quitting alcohol.
We helped to re-settle their family from the deadly alcohol Hotspot where Faith's life was prone to prostitution and alcoholism. Faith says many young girls in the slums serve as waiters in the bars, many of them are lured into taking alcohol, prostitution and early marriages in exchange with cheap gifts from Boda-Boda men and other slum dwellers.
Faith is passionate at church and serves in the choir team, she enjoys singing to God. Her life is now healthy, filled with love and re-counts an amazing future with Hope again.
Faith has a Dream of being a Doctor. With her future career dream, Faith hopes she can save many children and women who would have died during child birth or pregnancy-related causes.
Faith also desires to be a WESHARE-Ambassador that she would advocate for children rights, most of whom are suffering and victims of child abuse with domestic violence. She hopes to carry on with the same love of WESHARE to many girls out there in the slums who have a thought that their lives came to an end. Faith says there is still a Hope.
We cannot imagine our WESHARE family without Faith, she such a lovely daughter and a Gift to us and she will be a great inspiration to the world. Faith Loves music as Part of her hobbies!

WESHARE-Rachel's story
Rachel once a school drop-out! who started taking alcohol at 13 years
Rachel is a 13 year old adolescent girl, who joined our WESHARE family in 2021. We met Rachel while staying with her single mom and her other 4 siblings in a ram-shackled house in the slums. Rachel had dropped out of school for one year without school, because her mom had no school fees, and she was serving as a waiter in her mom's local bar to afford money for their house rent. Rachel tells her story that she started taking alcohol because of the many thoughts of her troubled family as the drunkards told her they drink to forget their family problems, she also joined a drinking club with some young girls in the slums.
Her mom could badly drink overnight and many-times she could leave them alone in the house. During an over rains late in the night, their house was struck down and the roof went off, with the candle left lighting inside, their house was partly burnt, they were saved by a neighbor who caused an alarm for help, they nearly got burnt in the house. We would now be saying to their souls rest in peace, thanks to God.
Our Heart-felt mission of WESHARE-Uganda Child Foundation together with Newlife Presbyterian Church, Kajjansi, came to the rescue of this family, Rachel was helped to return to school; completed her Primary level of Education and currently in her secondary level 4 of Education, Rachel needs UGX 300,000 Per Term in school for a bright future.
Through the women empowerment Program, we helped her mom to engage in other income generating business and we were able to resettle their family out of the slums.
Rachel is now Healthy and Part of our lovely WESHARE-family; a family that absolutely adores her and has a future that has been re-written and is filled with Hope. Rachel wants to be a Creative Fashion Designer when she pursues her studies. She is passionate at serving in Church and today serves as our welfare-leader in the youth ministry; she is a delightful, jolly, creative and kind young girl. Rachel says that her desire is to be the WESHARE-Ambassador; to help many young girls out there who have drowned their lives in alcohol, prostitution among many other unhealthy behaviors, to give them a Hope again for a new life and the good girls they can be when they accept Christ Jesus as their Lord and Personal savior. Rachel likes nice foods and she likes unique designs in wears.
We cannot imagine Rachel's life without WESHARE; she is Part of the many blessings we asked of, from our God.

WESHARE-Nisha's story
Our first daughter Nisha! an orphan, lost her mom and dad
Meet Nisha our first daughter at WESHARE-Uganda, Nisha is a 4 year pretty young girl; our first daughter to be adopted by our lovely WESHARE family, Nisha's story marked the beginning of our cause to make a difference and the OVC-Education support Program. Nisha is an orphan who survives with her other 6 siblings in a very needy family with her grandmother (Jajja) who lives with Heart Failure. While Nisha was of 2 years, her mom died of an end-stage liver disease, after having spent a couple of months bed-ridden, her father had died of a road traffic accident, while she was of 6 months.
Nisha's mom was a single mother; a bread-winner to Nisha and other 6 siblings. She had to make for them what they had to eat at home and also for their school fees. (Though many times, they lived on an empty stomach when they had nothing to eat at their home at the time when their mom was bed-ridden).
At the time of death of their mom, Nisha and her siblings where surviving with their grandmother. Nisha's grandmother a 70-year old, abandoned by her husband whom they had survived a life with at such an age and narrowly survived death after her husband set their house on fire (this is the house, where the two used to live together and had a happy life at one time and also raised their children from).
Her husband at the age of 75 years had married another young woman, therefore for many times he had done all sorts of things for her earlier wife to leave the home so that the co-wife would come in, till the last time when he set their house on fire, while Nisha's Jajja was inside. Nisha's Jajja who had to run for her life since the incident, she was welcomed by her grandson who was building up some rental houses in Kawotto village (where we met this family), though they were not yet finished and without windows and a door, she was allowed to find refuge in there at her old age.
Many of you may be wondering how we meet this vulnerable family with an untold story and at their deepest time of need! December 2019; our Pioneer year as WESHARE and during our December Charity walk, we thought of making a difference and celebrating the love of God in that festive season through giving back to the community (that year we decided on 3 communities of Kitende, Kawotto and Kajjansi, and we had to find 4 most vulnerable families from each village and share with them bread, foods with clothing). Amazingly that year; through the support of our lovely friends and well-wishers, our Giving campaign reached out 100 families, with families especially in the slum areas.
Our engagement with the women leaders from these communities was also to help us identify the most vulnerable families, to support these orphans and vulnerable children in school. WESHARE had just started and in its early stages, and enrolled out this as the OVC (Orphan and vulnerable children) Education support program, this program aimed at supporting 3 children in school at primary level. Our OVC community coordinator was approached by the women leader where Nisha and her grandmother were residents, at the deepest time of need of this family; Nisha was adopted by our lovely WESHARE family and local church; Newlife Presbyterian Church, Kajjansi. Today Nisha is one of our pretty girls, who enjoys her education at Newlife Primary school, Kajjansi under the OVC-Education support program. >>>>Ug.shs. 200,000 per school term can help Nisha have a brighter future.

WESHARE-Sharifah's story
Sharifah. Once a school drop-out, her dream is to be a Doctor
Meet Sharifah! Our Big sister in our WESHARE-family, Sharifah is a 16 year old adolescent girl leaving with her mom and dad in a needy family, with her 5 other siblings. Her young brother was born with Hydrocephalus.
We met Sharifah in 2023 where she was home; left to take care of her siblings, all were no longer going to school, these had been victims of an ongoing domestic violence between their parents, their parents could fight all night in front of them, where they both had separated for some-time, and these children were left home with their elder sister Sharifah taking care of them. These children wished they would study like any other children; they were undergoing deep psychological torture as children.
We shared with Sharifah and her siblings the unending Love of God to us; they joined our local Church; Newlife Presbyterian Church, Kajjansi, as well as our lovely family of WESHARE-Uganda Child Foundation.
With the help of our WESHARE family, Sharifah and her siblings have been helped to return to school. Sharifah is an amazing, jolly, inquisitive, talented and creative young girl, she is our Big sister in our WESHARE family, and she loves singing and serves with the Church choir, she wants to be a Doctor.
While in her senior five class, Sharifah is offering science subjects; (Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Computer sciences), with UGX 450,000 Per school Term, Sharifah can be helped to have a bright future.
Our Heart-felt desire is to reach-out these families; where children and adolescents lives continue to be victimized with violence and various sorts of child abuse, most of whom have dropped out of school, psychologically tortured and their lives are prone to unhealthy behaviors; child labor, teenage pregnancy, early marriages, drug abuse, HIV/AIDs, prostitution, among others, to re-nurture a new life with Hope to achieve their dreams.
We cannot imagine Sharifah's life without WESHARE; she is a Gift to us.
