At WESHARE Uganda Child Foundation, we believe that every young person deserves the opportunity to live a healthy, dignified, and fulfilling life. Through our HIV/AIDS & Adolescent Health Program, we provide integrated healthcare, prevention services, psychosocial support, and youth empowerment initiatives for children, adolescents, and young people who are affected by or vulnerable to HIV.\r\n\r\nOur approach goes beyond treatment and medication refills. We focus on strengthening mental well-being, restoring hope, reducing stigma, and empowering young people to become confident ambassadors of change within their communities.\r\n\r\nWorking closely with Kajjansi Health Centre IV and local community structures, we ensure continuous care, early diagnosis, and a supportive environment where every child and young person feels valued, respected, and empowered.\r\n\r\nCreating Safe Spaces Through Youth Community Hubs\r\n\r\nOur Youth Community Hubs serve as safe, inclusive spaces where young people can learn, connect, heal, and grow. These hubs provide opportunities for education, mentorship, peer support, and personal development in an environment free from judgment and discrimination.\r\n\r\nThrough these hubs, we focus on:\r\n\r\nHIV/AIDS awareness, prevention, and education\r\nMental health support and peer counseling\r\nEmotional well-being and resilience building\r\nLife skills and leadership development\r\nOpen discussions on relationships, identity, and decision-making\r\nSexual and reproductive health awareness and education\r\nFighting stigma through peer-led advocacy and dialogue\r\nEmpowering youth to become positive change-makers within their communities\r\n\r\nWe believe that young people are not just beneficiaries of services�they are leaders who have the power to shape healthier and more informed communities.\r\n\r\nEarly Infant Diagnosis (EID) Clinic � Every Wednesday\r\n\r\nEvery Wednesday, WESHARE collaborates with the dedicated medical team at Kajjansi Health Centre IV to support the Early Infant Diagnosis (EID) Clinic. The clinic focuses on children born to mothers living with HIV, ensuring they receive timely testing, treatment, and ongoing support.\r\n\r\nOver the years, this partnership has contributed to many successful outcomes, with numerous children being discharged from care after receiving appropriate support and achieving positive health results.\r\n\r\nServices provided include:\r\n\r\nEarly HIV testing and timely diagnosis for infants\r\nGrowth monitoring and nutritional support\r\nTreatment follow-up and linkage to care\r\nCounseling and psychosocial support for caregivers\r\nAdherence support and long-term child wellness monitoring\r\n\r\nThrough early intervention and continuous care, we help ensure that every child has the best possible start in life.\r\n\r\nAdolescent Clinic � Every Thursday\r\n\r\nOur Adolescent Clinic, held every Thursday, provides youth-friendly services designed to address the unique health, emotional, and developmental needs of adolescents and young adults.\r\n\r\nThe clinic offers a safe and confidential environment where young people can access holistic healthcare and support services, including:\r\n\r\nHIV testing, treatment, and adherence support\r\nSexual and reproductive health education\r\nMental health screening and psychosocial counseling\r\nSupport for anxiety, depression, and emotional challenges\r\nGuidance on relationships, identity, and responsible decision-making\r\nSelf-esteem building and stigma reduction programs\r\n\r\nWe are committed to creating spaces where young people are heard, respected, and empowered to take charge of their health and future.\r\n\r\nCommemorating World AIDS Day\r\n\r\nEvery year, WESHARE joins the global community in commemorating World AIDS Day.
